Dr. Anderson Shum has been selected by IEEE NANOMED 2018 as one of the three New Innovators in NANOMED 2018. This award is established to recognize “individuals who have demonstrated exceptional technical advancement and innovation in the field of Nano/Molecular Medicine and Engineering in the early career.” Anderson ‘s most significant contribution to the field is to introduce and elucidate possibilities offered by an all-aqueous multiphase system. He and his group have done pioneering works to process emulsion-based materials, particularly those for biomedical encapsulation, and promoted their applications in nanomedicine. Dr. Shum will be presented in the “New Innovators in NANOMED” session in the IEEE NANOMED 2018 in December 2018.
