Job Title:

Project Officer

(to commence as soon as possible, short term)

 

Applicants should be undergraduate students or above in biomedical engineering, biomedical science, or related disciplines. They should possess an excellent command of English and Chinese and an appropriate level of IT skills. They should also be able to work independently and as a team with the ability to handle multi-tasks and be attentive to details. Knowledge of video production and website design is preferred but not a must.

 

The appointee(s) will assist in innovation and outreach programme. He/she will take part in event organization, provide administrative support, and perform any other duties as assigned.

For a new collaborative research centre on developing advanced biomedical instrumentation

 

Overview:

The research centre is collaborative effort coordinated by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to be established at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) undertaking R&D projects. The aim of the collaborative centre is to develop completely new and disruptive biomedical instrumentation that will meet the growing needs in medicine and contribute sustainably to human health. 

Job Title:

Chief Operating Officer

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily business operations and preparing reports to the Top Management

  • Annual Plan and budget Plan handling and focusing on cost saving

  • Initiating, implementing and improving standard operating procedure, maintaining smooth operations

  • Tackling the daily problems and providing suitable guidance in order to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Managing operational teams and monitoring all department heads and the Company performance

  • Improving the inter departmental communications to increase the productivity

  • Maintaining and building relationships with external parties (partners/ vendors) in all aspects

  • Representing the Company to join essential meetings

  • Preparing the launch of new product lines and making strategic planning for business lines (if applicable)

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Master degree or above, Major in Business Administration or Science is preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years’ management experience, at least 5 years in general operation management

  • Prior laboratory/ R&D background is preferred

  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching and problem-solving skills, strong anti-pressure ability

  • Be integrity, fairness, impartiality with rigorous and meticulous style

  • Analytical mind and have work enthusiasm

Job Title:

Senior Finance Officer

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handling full set of daily and general accounting operations; such as AP, AR, Payment & Expenses, Data Entries, Cash Flow, Petty Cash and Monthly Closing and Reporting

  • Assisting Management in preparing the Annual Budget Plan, Semi-yearly and Yearly Financial Reports

  • Review banking and financial documents to analyze terms and business performance

  • Liaising with auditors for annual audit

  • Any other duties or ad hoc projects assigned by management

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent is a plus

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial operation and reporting

  • Experience in ERP of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing and reviewing effective purchasing system for the Company across different departments

  • Identifying and evaluating cost saving opportunities, reliable supplier base and quality vendors

  • Leading complex procurement activities and ensuring compliance with the related policies and procedures

  • Interacting with users to determine best approach to supply market and with good quality of work

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, purchasing/logistics, supply chain management or related disciplines

  • Membership or qualification from CIPS, ISM, etc. is a plus

  • At least 5 years hands on experience in procurement and tendering for laboratory equipment, materials or services

  • Experience in government, government-related entity or university is a plus

  • Experience in purchase contract drafting, commodity/category management and/or strategic sourcing

  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills and with good follow up attitude

  • Mature with high degree of responsibilities and strong sense of initiative
