Abstract:
This talk will introduce our research over the last 40 years on wave propagation and vibro-acoustics. Specific topics include 1. singing cable: flexural wave propagation 2. sound absorption: porous material and MPP 3. violin: stick slip vibration of string 4. Rijke tube: self excited sound 5. Quiz: meaning of complex number in acoustics
