Re: Quarterly reminder of recurrent duties/responsibilities for technical staff
Please be reminded of the following recurrent duties/responsibilities.
As required by internal auditor of HKU in late 2018, technical staff should pay attention to the followings:
Chemical inventory in their laboratory should be minimized as far as possible.
Only central ordering of chemicals is accepted in case the chemical can be ordered via our Safety Office.
In all shared-use computers in our laboratories, the administrators are the pertinent technical staff who take care of the computers by, e.g., conducting patch and software upgrades. Students can only use those PC as standard users with limited right, e.g. they cannot install any software in the computers.
