"Low-altitude economy (LAE)" was recently adopted as a local strategy for new
industrialization following CE's policy address. In HKU, a group of colleagues from
engineering, science, business and law faculties are gathering to push for this exciting
new direction. On 11 November the GBA Low-Altitude Economy Alliance (LAEA) signed
its first MoU with HKU to promote LAE. We now aim to launch the first MSc in Engineering
in Low-Altitude Technology in 2025 and research projects in all areas relevant to LAE are
being formulated. As the most comprehensive university, we aim to form a unique
research institute for LAE to lead in important directions in Hong Kong and to
collaborate with our sister institutions. To discuss the way forward, we would like to hold
a roundtable forum:
Date: 3 December 2024 (Tuesday)
Time : 10am-12pm
Venue : CPD 3.28
All are cordially invited to join the session. To help build the collaboration network, please

See you!
