Professor James Lam was awarded the Second Class Natural Science Award by Chinese Association of Automation in 2019 for the project entitled “Control Theory and Applications of Positive Systems.”
The Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) Natural Science Award is given to teams or individuals who “clarify natural phenomena, characteristics, laws and methods and make major scientific discoveries in the field of basic research of automation in China.” CAA was established in 1961 with Academician Hsue-Shen Tsien as the founding Chairman.
