Dr. Wending Pan obtained his B.S. degree (2017) in Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and Ph.D. degree (2021) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), under the supervision of Prof. Dennis Y.C. Leung. He continued his research as a Postdoctoral Fellow and currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at HKU.

Dr. Pan's current research focuses on: (i) development of aqueous ion batteries as post-Li batteries; and (ii) rechargeable aqueous metal-air batteries for large-scale energy storage.
