Marian received her BEng and PhD from UNSW. She believes teaching is a people's ministry in a way that a teacher acts as a helper to assist his / her students in the process of learning.  As a passionate teacher, her goals are to stimulate students' interest, help and encourage them to learn actively and be able to build up their own way of self-learning.  These would not be successful without dedication and effective communication.  Her Christian mission is "love in action" through passion and quality teaching.

Before joining the department of Mechanical Engineering, Marian was a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering, HKU, and mainly involved in first year teaching.
