Dr. Zulfiqar Ali has completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong in 2022 and his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 2015, both with a focus on 3D-Printing, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Analysis (CAE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Isogeometric Analysis {IGA) techniques in engineering analysis. During Ph.D., he has worked extensively on isogeometric analysis-related projects, with a particular focus on collocation methods for isogeometric analysis, which is a relatively new engineering analysis technique, and the findings of his research have been published in reputable journals, with more on the way. He has received his B.S in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Pakistan in 2011.

Before joining this institute, Dr. Ali was working as a Joint Postdoctoral Researcher in the Mathematics Department of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China.
