Overview:

The research centre is collaborative effort coordinated by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to be established at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) undertaking R&D projects. The aim of the collaborative centre is to develop completely new and disruptive biomedical instrumentation that will meet the growing needs in medicine and contribute sustainably to human health. 

Job Title:

Chief Operating Officer

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily business operations and preparing reports to the Top Management

  • Annual Plan and budget Plan handling and focusing on cost saving

  • Initiating, implementing and improving standard operating procedure, maintaining smooth operations

  • Tackling the daily problems and providing suitable guidance in order to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Managing operational teams and monitoring all department heads and the Company performance

  • Improving the inter departmental communications to increase the productivity

  • Maintaining and building relationships with external parties (partners/ vendors) in all aspects

  • Representing the Company to join essential meetings

  • Preparing the launch of new product lines and making strategic planning for business lines (if applicable)

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Master degree or above, Major in Business Administration or Science is preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years’ management experience, at least 5 years in general operation management

  • Prior laboratory/ R&D background is preferred

  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching and problem-solving skills, strong anti-pressure ability

  • Be integrity, fairness, impartiality with rigorous and meticulous style

  • Analytical mind and have work enthusiasm

  • Excellent in both written (English and Chinese) and spoken (English,  Cantonese and Putonghua) languages (Fluency in Mandarin and English is required)

Job Title:

Senior Finance Officer

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handling full set of daily and general accounting operations; such as AP, AR, Payment & Expenses, Data Entries, Cash Flow, Petty Cash and Monthly Closing and Reporting

  • Assisting Management in preparing the Annual Budget Plan, Semi-yearly and Yearly Financial Reports

  • Review banking and financial documents to analyze terms and business performance

  • Liaising with auditors for annual audit

  • Any other duties or ad hoc projects assigned by management

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent is a plus

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial operation and reporting

  • Prior exposure in both accounting firm and commercial sector is a plus

  • Experience in ERP of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred

  • Well knowledge in MS-Excel

  • Ability to maintain high standard of work quality and attention to details

  • Good interpersonal skills, initiative, high degree of responsibilities and able to work independently

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing full spectrum of the HR & administration functions, including but not limited to staffing & recruitment, compensation & benefits, Payroll, performance management, and employee relations

  • Leading a small operational team to deliver day to day administration services

  • Giving advices on good human resources practice i.e. terms and conditions of employment, staff and the labor market, employee benefits, welfare facilities and the working environment.

  • Assuring the privacy and confidentiality of personal information subject to any legal requirements and the best interests of the employee.

  • Planning and controlling the budget for HR & Admin as per the yearly budget plan set out

  • Handling staff grievances, acting in a counseling role to individual employees and to advise them about the personal development and career opportunities

  • Practicing HR management to establish confidence and trust to solve the conflict which exists between the Management and the workforce in general or with individual staff

  • Following up all kinds of insurance renewal and claims

  • Planning and arranging staff activities

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or above Major in Business Administration or HR related disciplines

  • At least two years hands on experience in full spectrum of Human Resources Management and Office Administration and in managerial level

  • With laboratory/ R&D background is a plus but not a must

  • Good interpersonal, communication skills and with good follow up skills

  • Be a good team leader with ability to engage and inspire others

  • At least 5 years hands on experience in procurement and tendering for laboratory equipment, materials or services

  • Experience in government, government-related entity or university is a plus

  • Experience in purchase contract drafting, commodity/category management and/or strategic sourcing

  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills and with good follow up attitude
