Abstracts

Prospective authors should use the symposium’s Abstract Submission and Pre-registration Form to prepare their abstracts. The abstract should be at least 300 words but no more than 600 words (maximum one page using the abstract template for writing). Authors are advised to prepare their abstracts carefully in order to reveal the scope and quality of research conducted. The abstract should include: introduction giving objectives, materials and methods, results, and conclusions. It should not contain any figure (micrograph, diagram, etc.). Submitted and accepted abstracts will be published in the symposium abstract book which will be available to ISSIB-II participants at the symposium.

Each delegate can make a maximum of two presentations at ISSIB-II. Each student delegate can present one paper only. The presentation must be made by the main author or a co-author of the paper.

The extended deadline for abstract submission is May 31, 2009. The abstract (in the Microsoft Word format) should be submitted as an attachment of an email to issib2010@hku.hk before the abstract submission deadline.

Important:   Because it has been decided that ISSIB-II will not publish symposium proceedings of 4-page full-length papers, it is important that authors of an abstract write a good and full-page abstract using ISSIB-II’s Abstract Submission and Pre-registration Form. Unsatisfactory abstracts will be returned to corresponding authors for revision and possible expansion.

Full-length Paper

A symposium abstract book will be available to ISSIB-II participants at the symposium. It has been decided that ISSIB-II will not publish symposium proceedings of full-length papers.

A Special Issue of Biomedical Materials: Materials for Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine will be organized for ISSIB-II. Details on the Special Issue are provided in the “Journal Special Issue” section of this website.
