Are you ready for the challenge?

     Arch + BSE/Mech + Civil/Env + Surveying

To enable our students to learn the skills for interdisciplinary design, this building design project was started since 2001-02 and was run jointly by the Departments of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The Department of Real Estate and Construction also joins in 2006. The project creates a multidisciplinary team environment for the final year students from these Departments to participate and understand the rationales and requirements of building design process. It emphasizes on integrated and creative design solutions through teamwork and collaborative efforts. Different topics or themes will be proposed in each year to allow the students to investigate practical design issues and broaden their knowledge across the disciplines. Studio- and problem-based learning is used to stimulate creative thinking and develop communication skills.

      What is teamwork?
Teams are groups of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose and hold themselves mutually accountable for its achievement. Ideally, they develop a distinct identity and work together in a co-ordinated and mutually supportive way to fulfil their goal or purpose.
